Signal is a series of illustrations in development observing the quiet, almost invisible shift in how we interact with the world around us. Inspired by everyday scenes, such as on buses, in cafés, and on sidewalks, these works depict individuals absorbed in their smartphones.
Illustration

Veracity
This series was created during a period when I was experiencing varying levels of anxiety and depression. Illustrating became a way to confront what I couldn’t always name, a way to give form to fears that lived just under the surface.

Selfie
One day, I asked my daughters for a selfie they liked, and I made a couple of illustrations. A few of their friends later agreed to send one along as well.
Words

Q&A With a Nobody
Q&A With A Nobody is a series of handwritten questions and answers — short, distilled texts created by me. Each piece pairs a quiet inquiry with a human response, often just a few words long. Next to this Q&A with myself, I include a short interpretation generated by an AI.

Protest
Protest is a documentary project in development that captures the language of protest signs from around the world. When large demonstrations take place, I gather publicly available images, read the signs people are holding, and transcribe the slogans exactly as they appear. It is a way to reflect a record of public sentiment during different word events. This project is updated slowly over time.
